Viewpoint Abroad

I left the West in search of peace, freedom, and a life that actually made sense. I’m John — an American who’s spent over 18 years living abroad. This channel is about midlife clarity, identity, and choosing a simpler, more intentional way of living. Here you’ll find honest reflections on rejecting the “normal” path, escaping unnecessary pressure, and what life abroad teaches you about yourself — not just the world. If you’re in your 40s (or getting there) and quietly questioning your life, your priorities, or the path you’re on — you’re not alone. This channel is proof that it’s not too late to rewrite your story.
