Frequently asked questions
The marketplace basics, including the cost questions from the role landing pages.
What is this marketplace?
PixelJobs is a hiring marketplace for YouTube. Channels post jobs and find video editors, thumbnail designers, scriptwriters and strategists; creatives build a profile around the videos they actually worked on.
How much does it cost to hire a video editor?
Rates vary widely with video length, editing style, research, graphics, revisions and turnaround. Post a job with your budget, or ask an editor for a quote based on a clear brief.
How do I contact a freelancer?
Verify your account email, then use the contact form on a profile. PixelJobs resolves the recipient privately and relays the message by email when a verified route is available. Replies stay in our forms. Requests without a clear route are queued for operator review. Email delivery requires a connected email service; participant email addresses are never shared.
Who keeps profiles up to date?
Members maintain their own profiles and current availability. Historical catalog profiles are retained source records, not registered accounts. Their availability and relationships are historical; confirm current details directly.
How do I post a job?
Sign up as a company, fill in the role, title, description, requirements, compensation range, and location type, then publish. Jobs move through draft → open → filled, and applicants land in your pipeline.
Where do talent stats come from?
Historical portfolio samples come from the retained catalog and are labelled separately from member-added work. A new member credit is confirmed only after a checked controller of the publishing channel approves the member’s role. Historical source marks are not newly earned confirmation. Thumbnails and players load from YouTube.
Can freelancers work remotely?
Employers can specify remote, hybrid or onsite work when creating a job. Members list their own location and working preferences on their profile.
What does it cost to join?
Creating a profile and browsing are free. Paid options for employers, such as job listings and discovery access, are shown before you check out.
