Ben Ickes

I attended The Art Institute of Pittsburgh, where I studied Digital Media Productions. After college, I ended up in Buffalo, working with the Buffalo Sabres hockey team. I edited highlights and filmed interviews with coaches and players that aired on New York's MSG Network (like the ESPN of New York). I moved back to Ohio and helped start a video production company with a college friend, focusing on weddings and music videos. When we closed the production house, I decided to pursue my passion for cooking and worked my way up to Executive Chef at Blu Plate/Blu Jazz+, ranked as one of the top 100 international jazz clubs for four years in a row by UpBeat Magazine. After that, I started doing outreach clay classes through Wayne Center for the Arts, and have since started doing Digital Media classes as well. In the summer of 2025, I joined the Wooster Bulls as their Media Production Manager and am very excited to be a part of hockey in Wooster, Ohio.
