Review gameplay editing portfolios
Look for a clear progression through the session, readable game information and cuts that keep the context of important moments. Compare examples relevant to gaming rather than judging a candidate from a single highlight reel.
Prepare a freelance editing brief
Describe your gaming audience, the footage available, the intended video length and the publishing schedule. Share reference videos that show the gameplay approach you want. Agree deliverables, revision rounds and turnaround before starting.
Confirm the new york working arrangement
Ask about availability, communication hours and how footage and drafts will be shared and reviewed. Rates are agreed directly with the editor.
