About
I'm KD Davis, also known as Shadetree K-Dee — an award-nominated filmmaker, editor, and storyteller with over 10 years of experience in digital media and cinematic post-production. I specialize in crafting narrative-driven content for YouTube, music, and docu-style platforms, with a deep focus on hip hop culture, true crime, and underrepresented voices. My skills span the full production pipeline: directing, cinematography, editing, sound design, motion graphics, and color grading. I’ve led post on series like Tax Season, which was nominated at the Cannes World Film Festival, and continue to shape projects from concept to final cut. Known for my attention to pacing, tone, and emotional impact, I work with creators, brands, and platforms to deliver high-quality, story-first visual content that connects with real audiences. Whether it’s a 30-second reel or a feature-length documentary, I bring vision, precision, and cultural relevance to every frame.
