About
Hey there! I'm Brandi Self, a screenwriter based in Los Angeles with over two decades of experience in TV and film. I started my journey as a development intern at MTV, diving into the world of reality TV production and honing my skills in research for various companies. Along the way, I've also contributed my creative talents to music videos and film, all while developing my unique voice as a writer. My writing explores themes like love, morality, identity, oppression, alienation, and stagnation, blurring the lines between reality and fantasy. I enjoy throwing characters into surreal and absurd worlds, pushing them to use self-examination as a tool for escape and redemption. I've been a staff writer and currently have multiple scripts in different stages of production. Aside from my professional work, I've got a bit of an obsession with true crime, which adds a unique perspective to my storytelling that resonates with audiences. In a nutshell, my commitment to storytelling, coupled with my distinctive voice and passion for true crime, has made me a recognized and sought-after figure in the entertainment industry.
