Sam is an expert YouTube Strategist who deeply understands packaging, retention, scriptwriting structure, and advanced analytics. During his time at Theorist, he helped to optimize Shorts, make retention recommendations based on his spreadsheets, create video formats, inform programming decisions based on data, and manage the thumbnail design pipeline. He's a great addition to any creator team!
Retained source review
On top of his packaging, ideation, and strategy work, Sam is a master at creating formats and video structure. He helped to refine formats for our channel, which we're using in the new era of Food Theory. Not only that, but he was integral in the host transition in March 2024, when he provided key strategic and analytical insights to help the channel to grow the audience.

Sam has worked hard on our channel over the last few years through ideation, packaging, and analytical recommendations. But, he also steps up when needed to get a job done. For example, we needed a script for a video about the movie Skinamarink. That wasn't part of his role at Theorist, but, because he has a Film background, he wrote a script that came in clutch.

Sam has been an essential part of our channel strategy since inception in February 2023. He was there from the beginning of the launch helping with thumbnail strategy, programming decisions, and channel branding. He was also part of the host transition from a male host (MatPat) to female host (Amy), in which he provided strategic insights into programming.
