Riku Watanabe

While I was a university student, I got interested in filmmaking and began to learn editing skills by myself with the footage I took while traveling abroad. At that time, I got hired as an editor by two video production companies; one specializes in music videos and the other makes advertisements. After graduation, I moved to Vancouver to study the pre-production and production sides and worked on set as multiple roles with several local production companies. My precise attention to detail ability was polished throughout many kinds of film set experiences. I have 7+ years filmmaking experience in Canada and Japan, and I am most confident in my editing skill, it could give you more options for future amazing content as I have been editing many types of videos, such as travel films, documentaries, short films, music videos, and commercials. Since I know the western countries' and Japanese style editing (filmmaking), I could make unique and fresh ideas by taking advantage of their strengths.
