[email withheld — use the contact form] My curiosity for creation grew into an ever expanding passion when I began my own YouTube channel in 2021, and I discovered my fascination with editing. Years later, and I am proud to have pursued this fascination not only creatively, but academically, as I have earned a MA in editing to a television broadcast standard. However, whilst I have skills and knowledge of how to edit to a professional degree, I take the most joy in using my skillset to create fun and comedic stories for YouTube! In a YouTube video, editing can often be very overt, with on-screen effects and visuals to accentuate narrative points and comedy, however what is, at it's best, often overlooked is subtle editing; How a video is cut, paced and organised are all crucial decisions and actions that influence how the viewer perceives a video. I believe the most enjoyable videos are those that can wield both these types of editing to their fullest extent, banishing mundanity and guiding the viewer through a story without them even noticing how tailored the experience is. Even if the story is seemingly as simple as a Let's Play. Crafting such videos are what I strive for in both my own content, and that I edit for others.
