I'm a video editor who cares about one thing: keeping people watching. I edit long-form YouTube content for creators, and I approach every video as a retention problem, not a decoration job. Clean cuts are the baseline. The real work is finding the story in the footage, building a hook that actually hooks, and pacing an edit so viewers stay to the end. A polished video that loses people in the first two minutes isn't a good edit, it's a wasted one. I think about the whole picture, not just the timeline. How a video is packaged, how the first minute holds attention, where people drop off and why. That's the difference between an editor who executes and one who helps a channel grow. I work with a small number of creators on purpose. It means I actually learn each person's voice and match it, instead of stamping the same style on everyone. Your channel should sound like you, sharper, not like every other channel I've touched.
