About
I’m a graphic design graduate, and I’ve dabbled in illustrations, logos, 2D graphics, mock-ups, but one skill I’ve practised consistently in the past few years would be video editing.
I’ve gained most of my experience through my involvement with the Crashy News / 3WIREL YouTube channel.
Most of the videos you’ll find on there were edited with yours truly, and I strived for good production value with each of them.
So if you’re an experienced channel who wishes to maintain that while putting out content more frequently, or an aspiring creator who needs an edge to stand out, you’re your man for the job.
My primary video editing software, for many years now, is Vegas Pro.
Though, I also dabble with After Effects to create motion design assets that wouldn’t be as easy to produce on the other.
Not to mention, old reliable Photoshop to produce static images.
How long does it take me to edit a video, and how much do I charge for that?
That would depend on the length and the complexity of the video, and whether the client has provided enough footage and assets to edit with.
From personal experience, it would take me up to a week to edit a 10+ minute video.
As for my rates, given I don’t follow a fixed working schedule, I prefer to charge based on how long the final render would last, rather than on the work hours I spent editing.
Thus, my rates are set at €30 per minute of edited video at 1080p, €40 for 1440p, or €60 for 4K.
