I aim to tackle that thesis by focusing on shape and rhythm. Rhythm relates to the film's pacing and how quickly or slowly the viewer bounces from perspective to perspective. There is value in quick succession and in stillness depending on the piece. Shape for me refers to the subject and how they are composed on screen. I ask myself, what part or sliver of the action is most important, and what can I do to emphasize each frame.
