Isaac Marshall

I currently work as a subsitute teacher, and independent researcher of the aesthetics, and politics of North Korean cinema. I hold a masters degree in Film Studies from the University of Amsterdam, so I have overindulged my academic side. My first love is production. I have worked as video editor in television, spending a year as the overnight editor at ABC - 6 in Providence Rhode Island, during which time I edited 4 half hour broadcasts a day, often needing to update the show in mere minutes, while the show was going on. I have also edited my own short film, seeing my own vision from the written page all the way to final color grading. Through those two experiences I learned to deliver --- no matter what, and exacty how it's expected--- but to trust your own instincts, and style nonetheless. The integration of those two lessons successfully is the key to my ethos.
